It’s here! Austin City Limits Music Festival kicks off today at noon and before you head out to Zilker Park, we have some words of wisdom to share. Here’s our best tips for the fest:

🥤 Bring an empty water bottle or hydration pack to fill up at one of the festival’s many water stations.

🧴 Pack a small sunscreen bottle – it can’t be in an aerosol can and must be 3.4 ounces or less.

🧢 Take a hat for shade, and a bandana for a face covering to avoid all that Zilker Park dust.

Whether it’s your first fest or your 10th, a handful of strategies will help you look like a professional ACL Fest attendee.

. Entrances get clogged up at opening and in the afternoon as headlining sets get closer. Trying to see an artist playing at 4 p.m.? Why not arrive as early as 2:30 p.m.? You’ll have plenty of time to fill up your reusable water bottle and grab a good spot after you breeze through the entrance line.

. You’ll be walking and walking and walking and the last thing you want is a blister to show up because you didn’t wear a good pair of shoes. Opt for a sneaker or, heck, even a hiking boot.

. We recommend bringing your own hand sanitizer, wipes, and/or toilet paper with you. The bathrooms are in constant use at the festival and it’s better to be prepared than not!
