Big Bend National Park Border Wall Seemingly on Hold

Austin Wants Input on Cesar Chavez Street

Four Austin City Council members want to host listening sessions and offer public surveys on renaming Cesar Chavez Street following multiple sexual assault allegations against the labor leader. Possible replacements for the street name include First Street or naming it after Dolores Huerta, a labor leader who worked with Chavez, or Jorge Pastore, an Austin police officer who died in 2023. Parts of San Marcos River Now Require Entry Fee

Adults who do not live in San Marcos will now be charged $5 to visit Rio Vista Park, a popular swimming spot in the Central Texas town. People younger than 18 still have free access to the park. [KXAN]
