With so many ways to support our Hill Country neighbors after historic flooding, you may be feeling a little overwhelmed with how you can help. Here’s a few ways to do it:

💵 Donate

Oftentimes, the best way to help out is through monetary donations. Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country’s Kerr County Flood Relief Fund, H-E-B’s Texas flood disaster relief fund, World Central Kitchen, and GoFundMe are good places to start.

🖥️ Do a Bit of Research

Your first instinct is probably to gather as many canned goods as you can and head out to volunteer somewhere. Organizations are likely overwhelmed with help right now – check the organization’s website or social media feeds to see if they have a list of needs before hopping in your car.

📍 Find Somewhere Local

You do not need to drive to Kerrville to help our neighbors out there. In fact, officials would rather you stay in your city so as to not hinder search and rescue efforts. You can absolutely help from here, though.

⏰ Set an Alert

Create a reminder for yourself, whether by kitchen calendar or on your phone, to check in with organizations gathering donations or supplies, or organizing volunteers to work on clean-up crews, a couple weeks or a month from now. It is going to take a long time to rebuild the Hill Country, and organizations will need support after time goes by and attention wanes.
