Whether you’re doing Dry January, “damp” January, or just want good mocktail options, I’ve got you! As someone who doesn’t always want a cocktail, I’m always on the lookout for yummy non-alcoholic sips. Since it is Dry January, a lot of Austin restaurants and bars have stepped up their zero-proof game. Let’s take a look at some!

🍹 Meanwhile Brewing Co., 3901 Promontory Point Drive

Something that’s extremely important to me when it comes to mocktails is cost. I don’t want to pay the same $15ish that people pay for drinks with alcohol. That’s why I like Meanwhile Brewing Co.’s options. Their mocktails, non-alcoholic beer, and agua frescas are all under $6. Mocktails include sparking ginger, sparkling grapefruit, mojito, limeade, and Shirley Temple drinks and they’re all $5.25.

🫶 Sans Bar, 918 Congress Ave.

Sans Bar downtown is a completely alcohol-free bar. That means you don’t have to go searching for a mocktail menu here or try to come up with your own alcohol-free beverage. Every item on the menu is free of alcohol! The bar is open on Fridays only, from 6 p.m. to midnight.

🦐 Este, 2113 Manor Road

Este, the upscale seafood spot in East Austin, is partnering with Austin-based brand Bawi Agua Fresca to create fun $12 mocktails each week of January! The Chilly Chile, made with Bawi passionfruit, orange, hot honey, and lime, is available through Jan. 19. The Early Bird, made with Bawi pineapple, aperitif syrup, molasses, and lime, is available Jan. 20-26, and the La Patraña, made with Bawi lime, tonic water, raspberry syrup, and non-alcoholic rhubarb bitters, is available Jan. 27-31.

🦋 The Butterfly Bar at the Vortex, 2307 Manor Road

If the pasta at Patrizi’s wasn’t enough to get you into the Vortex complex in East Austin, The Butterfly Bar’s mocktail menu may entice you. The bar has $8 mocktails, including the Aphrodite’s Kiss, which is made with pomegranate, pineapple, lime, and ginger beer.

👋 Happy sipping, y’all!
