It’s holiday pop-up season at Austin bars, y’all! Here’s a list of spots we think are worth your time:
☃️ Winter Wonderglam at Gibson Street Bar
Gibson Street Bar, 1109 S. Lamar Blvd., goes all out in December. This year’s theme is Winter Wonderglam and decor includes disco balls, Christmas trees, silver and gold chandeliers, and so much more. Holiday drinks like a jelly bean latte and a vodka cocktail called Santa Baby are all on the menu. The pop-up is free to attend and open through Jan. 4.

🕎 Get Lit at Kitty Cohen’s
Austin’s only Hanukkah-themed pop-up bar is at Kitty Cohen’s, 2211 Webberville Road, in East Austin. The bar transforms into a sea of blue decor, complete with dreidels lights and balloons. Themed drinks like a Shabbos Spritz, Oy Fashioned, and Latke Punch are part of the fun, too. The pop-up is open through Dec. 30 and is free to attend.
🔔 Jingle Jangle at The Dead Rabbit
More than a dozen holiday cocktails and mocktails are part of The Dead Rabbit’s Jingle Jangle pop-up this year. The bar, located at 204 E. 6th St., is decked out in holiday decor and Christmas music will be playing all month long. The pop-up is open through Jan. 4, and while it is free to attend, a reservation is highly recommended.

🫎 Rudolph’s Road House at Lefty’s Brick Bar
Rudolph’s Road House is back at Lefty’s Brick Bar, 1813 E. 6th St., through Jan. 4. The pop-up, which includes themed drinks, nightly snow showers, holiday movie screenings, and scavenger hunts, is free to attend.
🎄 Lala’s Little Nugget and Lala’s South Pole
Both Lala’s locations (2207 Justin Lane and 3008 Davis Lane) are decked out in Christmas decor year-round, so this one isn’t necessarily a pop-up. But the bars do take it up a notch during December. Pop in for a gingerbread shot, spiked hot chocolate, and more decorations than you can believe.
