Yes, it’s still January, but if you want to have plans on Valentine’s Day, you need to start making moves now. Because finding a dinner reservation will only get harder, we’ve rounded up some of our favorite Valentine’s Day events for you.

💗 Try Galentine’s Day at Gibson Street Bar.

One could argue that Galentine’s Day is the best thing to come out of Valentine’s Day, besides all the chocolate. Galentine’s Day events are typically held on Feb. 13 and involve getting together with your friends to celebrate friendship. Gibson Street Bar, 1109 South Lamar Blvd., is hosting a Galentine’s Day event with specialty cocktails, a flower bouquet bar, and a permanent jewelry bar on Feb. 13 at 6 p.m.

🫶 Stay in With Aba Austin.

Aba Austin’s to-go packages are one of our favorite things to recommend. They’re just so easy! For Valentine’s Day, the restaurant, 1011 South Congress Ave., is offering two to-go packages. The package for two is $128.95 and includes six dishes and a bottle of prosecco. The Galentine’s Day package is $52.95 per person ( there’s a minimum of two to order) and includes four dishes. We’re already dreaming of the chocolate chocolate cake included in both. 😍

📚 Have a Meet Cute at BookPeople.

Starting at 9 a.m. on Valentine’s Day, BookPeople is hosting a daylong event with specialty cafe drinks and crafts. A flash tattoo pop-up starts at 5:30 p.m. at the bookstore, 603 North Lamar Blvd.

💃 Waltz at Pease Park.

Why is this one making us emotional? Head to Tudor College at Pease Park, 1100 Kingsbury St., at 6:30 p.m. on Valentine’s Day for a free waltz lesson and dance party. The dance party will commence at 7:15 p.m. Drinks will be available for purchase during the event.

🎭 Go See “Jersey Boys” at Zach Theatre.

When all else fails, catch a show. “Jersey Boys,” a jukebox musical following a band through its success and breakup, is playing at Zach Theatre on Valentine’s Day at 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Tickets start at $25 and can be purchased online.

👋 Enjoy, lovebirds!
