The second weekend of Austin City Limits Music Festival kicks off today at Zilker Park and we have tips for you that we picked up during the first weekend of the fest!
💊 The Dust Is out of Control This Year – Take Those Allergy Meds.
Perhaps the dust that gets kicked up by festival goers at Zilker Park is out of control every year, but this year feels real bad, especially with high pollen counts. Take your allergy meds before you head out for the day, and absolutely pack a bandana to pull up over your nose and mouth.
🩷 Arrive Early for Chappell Roan and Don’t Shove.
Chappell Roan is having a moment, both in her career and at ACL. Her crowd on Sunday was humongous, and if you have any hope of getting a spot close to the stage this weekend, you need to get there earlier than you think you do. Even more important to note: Be kind to your neighbors. Getting out of the Roan crowd felt a little scary with how many people were out there. Pack some patience and understanding.

🥧 Try This Dessert.
Umm hello? Why was this so good? Tiny Pies’ booth in the dessert section of the park is offering up a s’mores pie this year and it is delicious. With a marshmallow top and not-too-hard-or-soft crust, the chocolate inside is perfectly encased and somehow cold without being hard to bite into. We went back for it two nights in a row. 😋
🃏 Bring a Deck of Cards if You’re Camping Out for an Artist.
So, you know what’s really fun? Seeing your favorite artist up close. What’s not fun, though, is the boredom that arises while waiting. If you are arriving hours in advance of a show so you can get as close to the stage as possible, pack a deck of cards or a small craft to do. It can help beat the monotony of sitting.
Good luck, babe! We’ll see you out there!
