Your Guide to July 2025 in Austin

00:00:00

Happy July, y’all! I hate to do a classic small talk, but can you believe it’s July already? We’ve got plenty to do this month, so let’s get into it:

🐶 Don’t Forget Your Dog on the Fourth of July

The Fourth of July is coming up and before you head out, make sure your doggos are prepared for fireworks, which can often be scary for our four-legged friends. A couple of to-dos, according to the American Veterinary Medical Association:

  • Double check that your dog is microchipped and their ID tags are up-to-date.
  • Put your pets in a room or crate they can’t escape from, and keep them inside during fireworks.
  • Keep your pet away from sparklers, glow sticks, fireworks, charcoal, and kabob skewers.

📣 Zilker Summer Musical Returns

“Bring It On: The Musical” premieres at Beverly S. Sheffield Zilker Hillside Theater near Barton Springs Pool on July 11. Shows, which are free to attend, run through Aug. 16. Grab a blanket, pack your bug spray, and go see some live theater!

🍉 The Best Produce Is Still in Season

It may be a bazillion degrees outside, but at least all the best fruits and vegetables are in season this month, including sweet corn, tomatoes, watermelon, peaches, and more, according to Texas Farmers Market.
