It’s holiday party season and there are plenty of ways for you to get home safely if you’ve had too much to drink! Here’s what you need to know:

🚨 Your Parking Ticket May Be Eligible for a Waiver

It happens to the best of us. You go out, indulge a little too much, and end up with a ticket after leaving your car in a downtown parking spot overnight. But I’ve got great news! If you left your car overnight because you responsibly took a taxi, bus, or rideshare home, you can submit an application to have your parking ticket waived. Just be sure to submit this form within one business day after receiving a parking citation.

🚌 CapMetro Has a Late-Night Bus Option

For just $1.25, you can take one of CapMetro’s Night Owl buses home. The buses run every 20 to 30 minutes from midnight to 3 a.m., Mondays through Saturdays. The Night Owl buses run between popular spots like Sixth Street and South Congress Avenue. Find a list of buses online.

🎫 Get an Uber Coupon From Austin Downtown Alliance

During December 2025, Austin Downtown Alliance is offering 50% off Uber vouchers for people traveling in and out of downtown. The vouchers are being released on a weekly basis as funds allow.
